Meta tags and their use

Meta tags have very much popularity and importance in the Search Engine Optimization world. Meta tags let your search engine know which type of this website is, what content it have and then Search Engine ranked your website according to the keywords and description your meta tags have.

Note:-Google totally ignores your meta tags when assigning PR to your webpage.

Oh my God, if it is true then what is the purpose of Meta Tags, don't worry , yeah it is true but this truth for those persons who doesn,t have any appropraite text within the body of webpage that is similar to the Keywords and Description of Meta Tags that's why google ignores meta tags.

Example:-
If your website is related to cars then its sure that your website contains the text related to cars then you must set your meta tags according to the text of your website but in this case if you supply meta keywords as "free download songs", "english songs", "indian songs", "pakistani songs", "songs" then search engine will totally ignores your meta tags.



Important:-

The pag title display as a link and description of meta tag displays as text in google when your website is shown against any search process peformed against your targeted keywords.
